The HiReach project organised a Multidisciplinary Ideation Workshop in Brussels on March 27 (afternoon) and 28 (full day) to address issues related to inclusive mobility and transport poverty.
Both issues concern daily challenges stemming from a range of human, social and geographical limitations. Those most affected are persons with reduced mobility options, including children, elderly, women, low-income, immigrants, people with reduced mobility, and persons living in rural areas.
The aim of the workshop was to design and implement new products, services, and solutions to tackle transport poverty and make mobility more inclusive. This was done using the Lean Service Creation (LSC) methodology, a design process, set of tools, and handbook that combines best practices of service design thinking, lean startup, and agile development.
The participants exchanged perspectives with more than 40 transportation experts, industry professionals, entrepreneurs and start-uppers, designers, researchers, public officials, and representatives of vulnerable groups from around Europe. They also had an opportunity to review practical solutions to make mobility inclusive for all.
We warmly thank all the participants for thei valuable contributions!
The major outcomes of the workshop will be available soon on our website!
