The HiReach & INCLUSION Final Event took place virtually on September 22, 2020 presenting the 5 selected startups showcasing a proof of concept of their transport poverty solutions. More than 350 people registered for the event that were interested in how mobility can become more inclusive, equitable and accessible.
The event was completely free of charge and it was ideal for cities, regions, transport authorities, transport providers, mobility entrepreneurs, and end users’ associations willing to learn how to make mobility truly inclusive for all types of travellers. During the event, the attendees were able to engage in the discussion and listen to excellent speakers who will be highlighting tools, methods, and solutions to design a more inclusive mobility system for all, and in particular, for vulnerable-to-exclusion people living in urban, peri-urban, rural and remote areas.
The event lasted three hours and was moderated by Karen Vancluysen, POLIS Secretary General. The event was made of two parts. While the first part looked at challenges and issues related to transport poverty and accessibility, the second part provided the participants with tools, methods, and solutions to design a more inclusive mobility system for all, and in particular, for vulnerable-to-exclusion people living in urban, peri-urban, rural and remote areas.
