OPEN SOFTWARE TOOLS / APIs

One of the goals of HiReach is to provide useful software tools for start-ups involved in the Start-Up Lab, aiming at working in the transport poverty domain, that will be used in their own software as a support for their services. In this regard, an online repository was built, containing already existing open software tools / APIs, clustered around the functionalities they provide.

OpenTripPlanner (OTP) is a family of open source software projects that provide passenger information and transportation network analysis services. The core server-side Java component finds itineraries combining transit, pedestrian, bicycle, and car segments through networks built from widely available, open standard OpenStreetMap and GTFS data. This service can be accessed directly via its web API or using a range of Javascript client libraries, including modern reactive modular components targeting mobile platforms (source: OpenTripPlanner Project).

The Outlook Mail API lets you read, create, and send messages and attachments, view and respond to event messages, and manage folders that are secured by Azure Active Directory in Office 365. The HERE Places (Search) API is a REST API that allows to build applications where users can search for addresses and places and received detailed information about selected places (source: Here Developer documentation).
